My roller coaster journey…
My Roller Coaster Journey
Starting my own business has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride—thrilling, unpredictable, and honestly, pretty amazing. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been laser-focused on making the transition from working under another company to building Seda Piazza Design smooth and seamless. But let me tell you, for a long time, I thought working for someone else would make life easier. Spoiler alert: I was wrong! While I did learn a lot, I’ve realized that the freedom to create and the space to explore my own style is exactly what I needed.
And you know what? So far, it’s been less chaotic than I expected. Smoother, even. I’m loving it! But let’s be real here—I’m not going to pretend like I have it all figured out. There are moments where the fear creeps in. Moments where I wonder, “Will this work? Am I making the right decisions?” And yep, there are those late nights when the stress kicks in.
Every time I find myself in that headspace, I have this little ritual: I ask for a sign. It’s become a habit of mine to just say, “Okay, God, if I’m on the right path, give me a sign.” And then, without fail, something happens. Either a new client reaches out, or a current client approves a selection I was anxious about. It feels like a little nudge from the universe telling me, “You’ve got this.”
There’s one story I just have to share. The day I published my website, my sister called me, absolutely glowing, and told me about this incredible dream she had. In it, she saw me and my dad—both of us so happy. I can’t help but believe that it was a message from him, sent from above, letting me know he’s proud and watching over this journey with me. I’m writing this down now because when the time comes (and I know it will), I’ll share this story on The Well-Designed Business podcast :))) We’ll look back, smile, and talk about this wild, wonderful adventure.
Until then, I’m just going to keep going, one step at a time, trusting the signs and knowing that every little victory is a step closer to where I’m meant to be.
